是一種能水解致病菌中黏多糖的堿性酶。
主要通過破壞細(xì)胞壁中的N-乙酰胞壁酸和N-乙酰氨基葡糖之間的β-1,4糖苷鍵,使細(xì)胞壁不溶性黏多糖分解成可溶性糖肽,導(dǎo)致細(xì)胞壁破裂內(nèi)容物逸出而使細(xì)菌溶解。
溶菌酶還可與帶負(fù)電荷的病毒蛋白直接結(jié)合,與DNA、RNA、脫輔基蛋白形成復(fù)鹽,使病毒失活
