極易氧化，2-8℃充氬保存
用途  常用還原劑，有抗氧化作用。DTT和巰基乙醇相比，作用相似，但DTT的刺激性氣味要小很多，毒性也比巰基乙醇低很多。而且DTT比巰基乙醇的濃度低7倍時，兩者效果相近。但DTT價格略高一些。用作蛋白質(zhì)巰基保護劑。用于蛋白質(zhì)二硫鍵的裂解和順序分析。
