聚四氫呋喃是由四氫呋喃單體經(jīng)陽離子開環(huán)聚合得到的兩端為羥基的均聚物。本產(chǎn)品為白色蠟狀固體或無色均相透明 液體。不溶于水和脂肪烴,易熔于醇類、酯類、酮類、芳香烴、氯化烴,其溶解度隨著分子量的增加而降低。室 溫下,易吸收空氣中的水分,其吸水性也隨著分子量的增加而降低。高溫下易燃。

PTMEG型聚氨酯具有良好的耐低 溫性、耐水解性、耐鹽水性和耐霉菌性。其缺點(diǎn)是PTMEG以羥基封端,所以親水性增加,容易潮解;又因與氧原子連接的碳原子容易氧化,故易受紫外射線影響。PTMEG隨分子量增大,由室溫的粘稠液體變成臘狀固體。它的物理性質(zhì)主要由分子量決定,通常 PTMEG的分子量在600—5000之間,能用于彈性材料及彈性纖維的PTMEG的分子量在 1000—2000 之間,應(yīng)用最多的分子量為1000及 2000兩種。在常溫下,低分子量的PTMEG為無色液體,分子量較高的PTMEG為白色臘狀物。

用途 PTMEG是生產(chǎn)氨綸和聚氨酸彈 性體的重要原料之一,用作氨酯中的軟段,能夠提供聚氨酯產(chǎn)品良好的耐水解性、耐低溫性及動(dòng)態(tài)性質(zhì)。也可作彈性體產(chǎn)品、合成革用樹脂、彈性纖維(氨綸)的主要原料。
