用途 冠醚最主要的特點之一,是可與各種金屬鹽、銨鹽、有機陽離子化合物等形成穩(wěn)定的絡(luò)合物。利用這一性質(zhì),可將各種鹽類溶于有機溶劑。冠醚可將陽離子螯環(huán)內(nèi),同時由于有朝外的有機基因可生成絡(luò)合物,亦可溶于非極性的有機溶劑。這時,未被溶劑化的陰離子,以裸露的陰離子形式存在于溶劑中,故活性極大。冠醚可使堿金屬和有機堿金屬化合物溶解在有機溶劑中。因而在有機合成、光學(xué)拆分、重金屬螯合、分離、分析以及生理活性的醫(yī)藥、生物化學(xué)等方面找到廣泛的應(yīng)用。例如,用作相轉(zhuǎn)移催化劑,使許多在傳統(tǒng)條件下難以反應(yīng),甚至不發(fā)生的反應(yīng),能順利地進行,這類反應(yīng)速率快、條件簡單、操作方便、產(chǎn)率高。例如,安息香在水溶液中的縮合反應(yīng)產(chǎn)率極低,如果在該水溶液中加入7%的冠醚,則可得到產(chǎn)率為78%的安息香。這一反應(yīng)還可在苯(或乙腈)中進行,盡管氰化鉀不溶于苯,但如果加入18-冠-6,則不僅能發(fā)生反應(yīng),而且產(chǎn)率可高達95%。
